4/2/08 -The Bureau of Misfit Toys

Why does this sound so familiar?! Is it the repressed childhood memories of watching Christmas specials? Or is it something more sinister?!

I'd like to point out that we've completely forgotten about the silverfish by now.

At some point, Tip will run into his predecessor, who came downstairs years ago and got caught in an unending string of side quests....

You know, it occurs to me that there is a perfectly simple way of solving this problem that Tip would never employ, because he is neither evil nor mad:

Agree to whatever the robots want done, but instead of having them leave the centipedes alone, have the robots use their superior size and natural tendency to crush legs and bugs to eliminate the silverfish entirely. This deprives the centipedes of their food source, forcing them to withdraw to where they can find a new one. Since Tip's the only person down there, it's not like anyone else in Skin Horse would know.

The benefit of this plan is that there's no way that the centipedes could move their credenza, so were Tip evil enough to do it, he'd score free furniture and get rid of a couple of bug infestations.

Of course, Tip isn't evil or unethical at all, so he'd never try this.

Yeah... sometimes a bit of madness really would speed things up.

Not sure if this is what you were thinking of or not, but in the old Rankin-Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas special, there is an Island of Misfit Toys.

That must be it. Oddly, I don't remember writing the above post...must have been pretty late. :D
