Happy Birthday to the creator of Narbonic and Skin Horse, she who has given us many hours of entertainment though still pictures and words.

What the Hell indeed. For a mere infant in her 20s to have gotten her act together enough to have created one innovative masterpiece updated on a daily basis while also scattering other high-quality works like sparks is remarkable. Most people don't even figure out what they really want to do, much less achieve any expertise, until their thirties.

So, now it's time to show that you're not just a juvenile prodigy, going up like a rocket and down like a stick. Now is when you have to knuckle down and top yourself, even as the portion of your brain devoted to innovation and creativity gives way to the portion that recognizes patterns. (This really is what happens to our brains as they age - if you don't keep solving new problems constantly, the pattern-recognition software cannibalizes it all and it becomes physically impossible to learn new things.)

Have fun.
All you can do is the best you can do.

"To our dear maniacal authoress,
Of mad science, gerbils, and general distress
You brought us henchmen, potions, explosions galore
Have a very happy birthday-- And many, many more."
