I'm going to be Madblood for Halloween. (Thought about being Dave, but aside from the flannel, the last and middle name, and a cigarette, there isn't any difference)
However, since all the strips are in Black and White, it's impossible for me to know what color dress shirt he wears.
I always imagined a very light blue.
But it could be white.

Thoughts?

Ooh, you're going to learn the Madblood Robot Army Anthem, right?
The shirt-no idea, but light blue seems good.
Sounds like fun!

Do you think I had the 1st idea what a squidhole was when I invented it? Certainly not! I was just messing about! That's when the very best & very Maddest Science gets done. I thought,Why, this alabaster octopus looks like it wants a nice transmission inside it,& fairly soon I had a thing that obviously had a Use, though what that Use could be was a total mystery.
(Sameness Engine) I haven't the 1st notion of what it's for! That's not why I made it-I made it for the sheer joy of making something new! It's getting up to tell me what it wants me to do, though, I can just feel it. It's been giggling a lot at night.

Meanwhile, I'm growing by beard out on the sides, bought a flannel shirt and a pack of "HELLO" nametags, and plan to be Dave Davenport at D-Con. :) New timeline version, of course, since I don't smoke and never have, just like Dave.

Oh I float around. Mostly for info on the next book.

So, how goes the mad scientist war? Any winners yet?

I think I'll go with light blue. I'll be sure to send pictures.

And yes, I will know the madblood anthem. And if I'm REALLY evil/crazy, I'll record it and post it here for all of you to listen too and die of sheer madness! MWAHAHAHAH!

Ooh man, you gotta read it! It's more like a serial-- the story just keeps going, and this chapter (Chapter 12) promises to be the best yet!

I always imagined a plain white dress shirt, but I suppose there haven't been many color drawings of Madblood. Poor guy.

The Artist has spoken. Plain white it is!

Now to study my lines...

And yes, if I get photos, I'll post them here. :D

On a related note, I have never owned the correct wardrobe to cosplay myself as seen in the establishing shot of D-Con. :)

---Dave, been growing his beard out so he can go as Dave Davenport this year.

Pre. The nametag was the hardest part to find, actually.

Really? It's hard to find a roll of "My name is..." tags?

Huh...

At least around here, yeah. A bare "HELLO" without the "my name is" was the closest I managed. Totally blank tags (so you print your own design on them), or ones with cheerful images and patterns seem to be the vogue now. I could have gotten slightly closer with a metric ****ton of printer labels at Staples, but that would have cost more than the flannel, and not been reusable (I don't have a lot of need for nametags in general).

Nah. Shipping would have made it as expensive as just buying the huge-o-pack, really. And I didn't really want to spend more than a couple of bucks on the non-repurposeable elements of the costume (i.e. I can still wear the flannel outside of it being a costume, and I can shave the beard back down if I decide I don't like it.)

Why not print your own "Hello, my name is" label, then write in "DAVE" once it's printed?
