Is there any way possible to get the unpublished Narbonic RPG? Or logs of the campaigns that were posted?

If that's possible, I would run a game in the game room at the next scifi/comic/geek convention in my town next year. It would be so cool.

Do you think I had the 1st idea what a squidhole was when I invented it? Certainly not! I was just messing about! That's when the very best & very Maddest Science gets done. I thought,Why, this alabaster octopus looks like it wants a nice transmission inside it,& fairly soon I had a thing that obviously had a Use, though what that Use could be was a total mystery.
(Sameness Engine) I haven't the 1st notion of what it's for! That's not why I made it-I made it for the sheer joy of making something new! It's getting up to tell me what it wants me to do, though, I can just feel it. It's been giggling a lot at night.

I'm busy with all manner of things lately but I can post what amounts to chunks of a game system and the unedited game threads in the next week - assuming this is ok with Shaenon as she wrote some of the fluff. I have some time off over the holiday. I don't have a website but I can post them on my work's ftp server on a link that will be live for a couple of months. It's based on D20 Modern with some new classes and a few odd bits.

I've always meant to edit the threads into a proper story. There is some great writing in there, especially by Channing and Shaenon.

Well, I hate to put you to all that trouble, but that would be awesome. If Shaenon and Channing agree, of course. I should break down and buy the latest edition of D & D at some point....I need to get back into gaming. Hmm, I wonder... The Champions system might adapt to a mad campaign quite well. I think I'll dig out my old books after the holidays, and work on it.
It would be so much fun to run a mad scientist game! I look forward to reading this, and thank you for offering to post it.

My tastes have changed in the last 5 years. Now days, I'd probably go with a much lighter, Fudge-like game for Narbonic.

In addition to the Narbonic rules, you'll need some knowledge of D20 Modern, which you can get for free through the SRD at places like: http://www.d20resources.com/

Here's the Narbonic RPG as a zip file with 5 Word documents.
https://www.slashtmp.iu.edu/public/down ... 73836DUEPE

I'd probably change many things at this point but it has some decent stuff. It's not complete but has most of chargen and weighs in around 23k words.

Here's the first Narbonic pbp rpg, Sparks of Brilliance:
https://www.slashtmp.iu.edu/public/down ... 3185D42G66

There are two files. Elevator Games was a 2nd thread for when players were separated at one point. When you read along, it should be obvious when it fits in. Between the two files, it's nearly 60k words.

I haven't found all of the 2nd rpg yet.

I know this is pretty old, but the links are dead and I want the files too. Are they uploaded somewhere else?
