Great job! I love it, and you captured me, errrrrrr, I mean my character perfectly.

Hmm... I wonder what Jane's will turn out like?

Well I based my character on myself, and my character is a little bit older so I would guess that he is around six foot two inches with naturally brownish-orange colored hair, pale skin, brown eyes with a preference for baggy clothes. And JanetTor this is the description of my character for you

 Motherfudge. I had him down for 5'8". (Based on Sayasuke's description, I think...) It shouldn't change much, though. In fact it should fix that over-long neck I gave him.

A few other characters' heights are also estimations, and some are in relation to other characters' heights. As much as it'd be interesting to let the heights be slowly revealed, I'd rather avoid having to redraw a character if I can. So here's what I have down; let me know if you want different measurements for your character.

Lineup by height (for the characters I have descriptions for):

David Toboz (6'3")
Jane Narbon w/ heels (6'2")
So It Begins (6'0")
Wallace Caine (6'0", "give or take a few inches")
Sayasuke (5'11")
Thaddeus Guy (5'10", "medium height")
Jane Narbon w/o heels (5'9")
Andrew Tinker (5'6")
Ingrid (5'5", "average height")
Desius (5'4", "taller than Chic, shorter than Andrew" - hey this still works! yaaay!)
Dr. Amino (5'3", "a bit on the short side, but not that much")
Janitor (5'3")
Chicgeek (5'0")
Claire (4'11"-ish, "probably slightly shorter than Chic")

Xerox is 5'4"? Dang, he's shorter than I thought. And I've always described Chimera as being a tallish woman. Not that it matters, she's not in the lineup-can't overload our artist with secondary characters. So, just for game reference, the Chimera is 5'7", when she's not shapeshifted.(Hey, I'm 5'3"-to me, that is tall! I'm the runt in a family of tall people. Sigh.)
I love the police style lineups. Although it boggles the mind the scope of a crime that would nessesitate hauling us all in...
I mean...surely we don't all have overdue paperwork? Shudders.

Very cool! I like how they turned out so far.

JanetTor wrote:

Originally, that give or take a few inches was because I didn't want to lock myself in at a particular height, but now that I think about it, he's probably got a way to adjust his height if he wants to. I can just see him asking Chic, "Does the labcoat look better at this height, or this height? How about this?"

Yeah, I always wantedhim to be short enough to have a chip on his shoulder about it. For a while It was in flux, but then I realized that if he was 5'4 he'd be the same height as Jon Stewart. This was an entertaining enough thought to keep.

I dunno... you'd think after a while, anything really weird would necessitate them just for the sake of being the 'usual suspects' for that sort of thing.

Heh. Good for him his sweetie has no height hangups-being a shapeshifter breaks you of that-and doesn't mind being short occasionally.

And 'the usual suspects'? I can see that. It's still amusing to think of the poor saps who are tapped to bring us in.

Hmmm.... I wonder who';s the worst to bring in? I think out of Andrew, Fredric, and Xerox Xerox is probably the worse... Andrew makes you guilty because he's so nice and very likely teaches/taught you brother/neice etc. Fredric can get a little scary, but is cooperative. But Xerox?

Brrr.

Thank you! I'll add it to the others. Do you have a preference as to how he might be hovering/flying in the air?

Speaking of, I probably won't be able to do the actual cast page for awhile. There are other things I want to get done after the profiles. Still, input would be appreciated on getting Claire up in the air. Thad's been taken care of; Sayasuke'll be towing him along... but Claire still needs a way up. Any ideas?

In the Sky Cast Page (MCs & 'households')
    Zephyr: Chic, Des, Mecha, Sparky
Pink Peril: David, Andrew, Pink [DONE]
    Hoverers: SiB, Jane (hm. whaddayaknow...)
    Hopping: Wally, Lagos
    Hovercar: Dr. Amino, Ingrid
    Cloud Running: Thad, Sayasuke
Still need: Claire, Frederic, Blazerflarey, Janitor...

Well, Fredric has wings, in both human and vorpal bunny form. He could be carrying Claire-they seem to be buddies. And JanetTor-what about one of your mad contraptions? Didn't you make something out of tupperware, old vacumns, and playing cards to get to the Prix?
Or Claire could have been cast into the sky as the result of an explosion...

Personally, I can just see Claire, Frederic, and Janitor all getting blown into the air by one of Claire's handmade explosives, Claire with a look of joy, the others worried at least slightly about collateral/personal damage. I don't know why Janitor would be standing that close to them, but one never knows.

Yeah, there's that or the hovercraft that ran on pepper... I put Janitor in that list just because I haven't decided yet.

And I keep forgetting about Frederic's wings. *facepalms*

Hehe. That does have possibilities...

Art dumping tonight/tomorrow. These profiles need to get done so I can finally start on the fun stuff. I'll put them up as I create them (in groups of three or so).

Andrew Tinker:
Image

Desius:
Image

Thaddeus Guy:
Image

I left in Thad's body outline so you can tell that the jacket's bulkiness makes him look bigger than he really is. And you know? I don't think I've got so much of a complex about drawing guys (or Guys) anymore. :D

Next up: Dr. Dana Amino, Wally Caine, and [error - variable undefined].

Oh my gosh! Another great round of art. JanetTor, you are amazing! I'll say it again-it's so enjoyable watching the cast come to life.

The jacket has to be bulky because it holds an infinite amount of guns. Thad needs a jacket to operate his gunspace.

He's like a male and bad@%% version of a magic girl the way his power is dependent on his clothing...I need to get the picture of Thad in a magic girl costume out of my head now.

...I mean Adelle...but Thad-Gahhh!

Oh yeah before I go hit myself in the head and forget-Great drawings JanetTor. Thad's exactly like I pictured him in my head. Andrew too-& Desius is looking cool.

-Now, come here mister frying pan...

Sheesh, JaneTor! You're not secretly an art-drawing machine, are you?

I'm really impressed. These things just get better and better. Andrew looks really neat, (The post is what I love about it... he looks quite relaxed and casual, and it really WORKS) and the expression on Desius is classic. I just wish he was around to see it! Thaddeus looks nice and Badass, which is very good... the expression on his face sells the whole piece for me.

Yep, I love Andrew's expression and pencil twirling, Des is scruffy as he should be, and dang! Thad's cute.

I do rather adore the idea that even in a police line up, Andrew is perfectly relaxed... if liable to put someone's eye out with that pencil. XD
And the funny thing is, that now I can see both Desius and Andrew... can;t you just imagine what Fredric looks like?

Not usually, but I will be for the next four weeks. I'm trying out "creative productivity" this winter break as an experiment. So far it seems to be working. ^^

Dr. Dana Amino (placeholder until I can confirm an eye color):

Wallace Caine:

Claire:

By my count, there's four profiles left: Jane Narbon, Blazerflarey, Ingrid, Janet Torvalds (Alice/Gale identity; Janitor is done). These will be done tomorrow. I've got a wish list for the secondary characters whose profiles I'd like to whip out ASAP, in preparation for real fanart ideas. Requests will be sent out as soon as this is posted, but feel free to send me other characters' descriptions anyway.

Squee! Claire looks like she's ready to bop someone with that wrench-and the cheerfully manic Dr.Amino, with hands in fists-has she just sworn vengance on someone?-and not to mention our favorite cyborg-I like his expression, and the way he's holding arm three.Another round of great art!

Do you think I had the 1st idea what a squidhole was when I invented it? Certainly not! I was just messing about! That's when the very best & very Maddest Science gets done. I thought,Why, this alabaster octopus looks like it wants a nice transmission inside it,& fairly soon I had a thing that obviously had a Use, though what that Use could be was a total mystery.
(Sameness Engine) I haven't the 1st notion of what it's for! That's not why I made it-I made it for the sheer joy of making something new! It's getting up to tell me what it wants me to do, though, I can just feel it. It's been giggling a lot at night.

Aaand we're done! For now, anyway, but I've gotta say I'm relieved and glad to have MCs out of the way.

And last but certainly not least, Jane Narbon:

Jane easily gave me the longest description: one full page, single-spaced. But it was so excellent, I couldn't help wanting to accommodate the 'forms' she gave me in terms of personality, height, and fashion. ;3

Eventually Thad will get a dual profile as well, once I learn to draw wolves. I anticipate multiple profiles for Lagos and Frederic. It might get silly to do so for Sarcastic and Chimera, but it would also be silly not to acknowledge the variation those characters have. So. Yeah.

Also, oh man oh man did anyone else notice the similarity of Jane 1's pose to SiB's? That left arm just sticking out there randomly? I swear that was subconscious.

Ooooh, nice! I especially like Jane's expressions; you perfectly captured her descriptions. Makes me glad Claire is working *for* her.
